Giovanni Lunardi, a world renowned photographer, hails from Parma, where he began his career and lived until the end of the 60’s. He has worked extensively in Milan, Paris, London and New York, the major fashion capitals of the world for leading fashion houses.
A few years ago he relocated his studio to Florida, where he continues to work his “magic” in the field of photography and his art continues to travel the world.
His book “Parma anni ‘60” is a tale represented by photographic images taken between 1962 – 1964, which gives an unedited and realistic insight into the life of the people from Parma and their city during that period.
In addition to this, the book portrays a true kaleidoscope of personalities, from the most humble to the most famous, all of whom were associated with the city of Parma during that period. Examples include, the producer - Bertolucci, the writer - Giovannino Guareschi, the actresses – Catherine Spack, and Sandra Milo and the lyrical singer – Anna Moffo
Through the heterogeneous characterization of these people, the author has been able to impart a genuine sense of the provincial, while still portraying the evolution of the city and its people.
