Sant Ilario Award
Every year, starting from January 1987, on the occasion of the city's Patronal feast day, "The Saint Ilario Award" is awarded to the citizens:"...who have in some way contributed to improving the life of an individual and of the comunity;and to the raising of the city's prestige.."

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to ANTONIO BATTEI, the editor, for the care and the strong attention given to his activity as bookseller and for his commitment to the accentuation and promotion of the local culture and literature.

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to ALBERTO BEVILACQUA, writer, for possessing that deep and subtle tie which has always kept him fascinated by his roots and by this city, which with his story made up of extremism, heroism and contradictions, has inspired him to write many joyful pages.

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to GIORGIO BRIANTI, nuclear physicist, prominent figure in the international field, for his commitment and the results obtained in scientific research; which has seen him side by side with Prof. Carlo Rubbia in the achievement of the project which led to the Nobel Prize of 1984.

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to ALBERTO CHIESI, industrialist, for the ability demonstrated in managing the company Chiesi Farmaceutici which is occupied with its prestigious national and international aims.

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to PAOLO PIZZAROTTI, entrepreneur, for being able to lead the paternal company until he made it a leader on an international level in the field of plant design and installation; and general construction. (The prize is received by Engineer Aldo Buttini)

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to DANILO AMADEI, for the commitment and sensibility shown in promoting and consolidating initiatives in favour of those who live in discomfort and suffering,

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to ANNA ARDUINI, president of the co-operative Pulix Coop, for her ability in linking the entrepreneural capacities with the values of solidarity, participation and self-management.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to CLAUDIO BOZZETTI, physiotherapist, sports masseur of the Parma and National football teams, for results of the highest level obtained in his professional and sporting commitment.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to CORRADO COCCHI, a restauranteur, for the ability shown in keeping the name of Parma high in the art of gastronomy, highlighting the best of local culinary traditions.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to ERCOLE NEGRI, sports veteran and up till now a versatile and successful athlete, for his dedication which has always been put aside for sport as a practice and as an organizational commitment.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to WALTER TORSIGLIERI, the Director of the Blood Doner Centre, for the attention and strong personal commitment in favour of donations and the scientific knowledge in this important field.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to GOTTARDO ZAFFARDI, puppeteer of antique traditions, for the many laughs and dreams given to generations of children, with the stories of Fagiolino, Sandrone and their friends.
