Saint Ilario Award
Every year, starting from January 1987, on the occasion of the city's Patronal feast day, "The Saint Ilario Award" is awarded to the citizens:"...who have in some way contributed to improving the life of an individual and of the comunity;and to the raising of the city's prestige.."

The city of Parma's Gold Medal was awarded to REMO GAIBAZZI, a painter who has always tried, through art, to express his own traditional culture, choosing to live within the city, looking for a constant expression and confronting it with a larger territories. He has mainly exhibited his works in Parma, refusing opportunities elsewhere, since he didn't feel it appropriate to his artistic needs.

The city of Parma's Gold Medal was awarded to ANTONIO MORONI, lecturer of Ecology and director of the Institute of Ecology and of the Italian Centre of research and environmental education at the University of Parma, has carried out his activity in the environmental field in three areas of interest: in the promotion of ecology as a scientific subject; working on transferring new knowledge acquired to the field of education and making every effort to create an environmental culture to be diffused throughout high level professionalism.

The city of Parma's Gold Medal was awarded to FRANCO MARIA RICCI, his activity began in Parma in 1963 as a grafic artist. He drew plans for brands, posters and publications and in the meantime dedicated himself to the study of the work and style of Giambattista Bodoni, of which he re-printed the Tipografical Manual. In 1972 he began the publication of the Enciclopedia of Diderot and D'Alambert in 18 volumes and at the same time his famous volumes of art collections began. In the 70's he represented Italy in New York in the exhibition "Design Italian Style"; he opened various bookshops in Italy and abroad and published the well-known magazine "Fmr". The editing house has today 50 employees and branches in the most important cities of the world.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to ORAZIO CAMPANINI, primary school teacher from 1937, educational director from 1959 to 1977 (first at Langhirano and then at Collecchio) he particularly worked in the research of the values of popular culture and dialect, trying to transmit them to the numerous pupils "brought up" by him. He was a member of the "Famija pramzana", a great friend of Renzo Pezzani, responsible for the Circle of Cultural dialect; and directed for 10 years the magazine "Al Pont ad Mez" which spread the traditions, the history, the art and the local folklore.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to RUGGERO CORNINI, he has been for 35 years at the peak of his career as president and director of Cus Parma, he lead the University society? to become the most important multi-sports association of the region. He has been the national director of the Cusi for 30 years. He has looked after the organization for five editions of the national university championships at Salsomaggiore. Knight of merit of the Italian Republic, he has been the provincial vice-president of the Coni for 8 years; and they have awarded him "The Star for Sporting Merit".

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to
BRUNO LANFRANCHI - ETTORINA CACCIANI. Lanfranchi, son of a theatrical family, made his debut in 1930 with the operetta. In 1938 he joined the Clerici brothers. As a South African prisoner of war, he also recited for his fellow soldiers and the occupying English. He took up his activity again in 1947 with the Clerici and the Montacchini, becoming in 1960 the head of the Company of theatrical dialect (of which he was the main comedian). In the same year Ettorina Cacciani also entered into the company. In 1975, they became together part of the Company of the "Famija Pramzana", where Ettorina Cacciani remained until last year. They have both received numerous recognitions for their work as actors.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to CARLO SERIOLI. In 1940 he began sporting activities managing to cover important sporting duties such as: since 1977 he has been the president of the provincial Committee for Coni; since 1982 he has been part of the central Commission for promotional activities of the national Coni in Rome: since 1981 he has been a member of the sports congress of the Emilia Romagna Region. The Coni has awarded him the bronze and silver Stars for sporting merits. He is a Knight of merit of the Italian Republic.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to EMILIO RADINI, lawyer, he has dedicated right from 1957 part of his professional activity to the administration of justice with the duty of council judge, being a jurisdictional activity contained in our legal system and carried out with an exquisitely honorary title, demonstrating competence, balance and a high sense of responsability given the public interest connected to such a role. The lawyer Radini up until today, still carries out the role of council judge.
