Sant Ilario Award
Every year, starting from January 1987, on the occasion of the city's Patronal feast day, "The Saint Ilario Award" is awarded to the citizens:"...who have in some way contributed to improving the life of an individual and of the comunity;and to the raising of the city's prestige.."

In 1993, the Saint Ilario Award has been awared to:

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to FRANCO ARQUATI, industrialist and founder of a frame factory of the same name, for having known how to transform, demonstrating a spirit of initiative, ability and courage, a small carpenter's workshop into a leader company in Europe and in the world.

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to GIORGIO CUSATELLI, university lecturer, historian and scholar, a very noted figure of the national and city culture; for his expertise, passion and impressive rigour in his work very much tied to the city of Parma.

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to ALBERTO MICHELOTTI, a very well-known name in the sporting world, for his long career as an international football referee, which has brought him to the highest levels as competition manager and besides his unquestionable competence, he is appreciated for his talents of professionalism and balance.

The city of Parma's gold medal was awarded to LUIGI MIGONE, director of the "Istituto di Clinica Medica e Nefrologia" of the University of Parma, for the boost given, even on an international level, to medical science and in particular to nefrology, thanks to a great depth of thinking and to the inflexibility of the scientific method and for the complete dedication to the profession of lecturer and doctor.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to BRUNO ALLODI, who for 35 years has been taking care of making made to measure footwear in the artisan workshop run by himself, with a production of the highest quality which has earned him a vast and prestigious line of international customers, contributing to the spreading of the Parma name abroad.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to CLAUDIO CORRADI, captain of the team "Parma Angels Cariparma Baseball", for having contributed to the diffusion in the city of the practice of this sporting discipline, which thanks to his contribution as an athlete, he has reached his much sought-after goals on a national and international level.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to AURORA GUARINI, unanimously recognized for the continuous commitment in favour of the elderly and the weakest in general, carried on with love and unselfishness, which was well beyond her office duties as an employee of Iraia.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded to GINO LOTTICI, for the strong dedication to sporting activity in the technical and managerial field, carried on for more than 50 years, inside various sports associations, amongst which are Coni and Cus Parma, with tasks of a great technical and organizational commitment.

The Certificate of Public Merit was awarded t MARINO MARMIROLI, for the spirit of initiative and unselfishness demonstrated in the field of voluntary social work, which together with the Town Hall of Parma, we have seen give life to the first old peoples' day centre; and which has brought him to commit himself with self-sacrifice to various humanitarian initiatives.
